Job Description

AFIMAC is seeking licensed Security Guards for an immediate opening on our project in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Renumeration:

• $20.00 per hour before overtime

Shifts:

• Night shifts (8 p.m. - 8 a.m.)
• 12 hour shifts
• 3, 5 or 7 days per week (to be discussed)
• Weekend only shifts available

Position:

• Patrolling property
• Perimeter checks
• Ensuring no trespassing
• Report Writing
• Other duties as specified

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a valid security guard license in the province of Ontario
• Valid Class G driver's license
• Strong deescalation skills
• Able to travel to Thunder Bay and be on-site for all shifts
• Flexibility to cover additional shifts when required.
• Ability to work 3-5 days per week: 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Weekend only shift available (12 hour shifts)
• Able to sit, walk, stand for extended periods of time
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and having the ability to de-escalate with little to no supervision
• Excellent report writing skills
