Position/Department Purpose
The role of SG History teaching supports students’ growth as critical thinkers, informed global citizens, and effective communicators through high-quality instruction in world history, historical inquiry, and academic English. The role contributes to a consistent, rigorous SG curriculum by delivering engaging lessons across both History and selected social studies courses, developing instructional materials within shared unit plans, and upholding strong academic and assessment standards. The teacher plays an essential part in preparing students for success in an international academic environment by fostering historical analysis, source evaluation, close reading, and clear, persuasive writing.

Teaching & Instruction
Teach approximately 15-18 periods (40 minutes each) per week.
Support multilingual learners through scaffolded instruction, modeling, and language-aware teaching strategies.
Maintain a positive, student-centered classroom environment aligned with school expectations and behavioral norms.

Requirements:
1.Native speaker currently in China or documents prepared for work visa;
2.Bachelor’s degree in History , literature, education, or a closely related field (required).
3.Teaching license and/or Master’s degree (preferred).
4.TESOL/EAL training (preferred).
5.AP, IB, or other advanced program experience (an asset).
